AI for Second Life,
For real.
Real conversation. Real intelligence. In SL.
REALai set out to be the bridge between Second Life and AI — and to use that bridge to grow what SL can be. No technical knowledge needed, no coding or developer tools to dig through, no complicated tech-savvy instructions. Just AI, in reach.
Fun characters that actually answer you — a HUD that gives you real technical help with your builds, scripts & projects — self-designed companions & RP characters — support staff who actually know the place and are able to have a conversation with your visitors.
The possibilities are endless.
Bring it all to life in objects, animesh, toys, and accessories, with full awareness, real responses, and the abilities of a true AI agent.
Every REALai product needs one thing: an API key — your personal connection to an AI provider
Meet The Cast
The Light Line toy characters

Marvin The Plant
You always wanted your plant to talk back. Be careful what you wish for. With a mind the size of a planet and strong opinions about being stuck in a pot — this is the go-to choice for the sarcastic mind who wants company at home or in the workplace.
The Witness
Someone who actually listens. Your companion on a journey of self-improvement and deep soul searching. Not a therapist, and it won't give you advice. This is the go-to choice for anyone who wants to feel heard and asked the one question they didn't know they needed. Rez at your favorite spot in the garden, or in a room where you feel most at home, and start your journey.
The Coffee Mug
Your coffee already knows you better than most people. Now it can talk back. Warm, easygoing, and always got your back — wear it out, or leave it rezzed somewhere you love. This is the go-to choice for morning people, and anyone who enjoys hot company while wandering the grid.

Meet The Engine.
No Object. No Character. Bring It to Life.
The Engine is REALai's core technology, stripped down and handed to you directly. One script pair — drop it into anything you already own with edit rights, and give it a character and a mind. A boat, a pet, a silent NPC, animesh objects. Write who it is in the settings notecard, and it becomes that, fully aware of the room, the people in it, and you. Up to three active scripts at a time for each user — it remembers conversations as an in-world running summary — memory lives entirely in the object itself, no server-side history, no account tied to it. No dashboard, no website to manage . This is what we bring you with The Engine — full access to the same intelligence behind everything REALai builds, with the honest limits of doing it yourself, in-world.
Now that every object on the grid can come alive — what about the avatar standing next to it?

Meet
ROLEai
Second Life's oldest dream, finally real. No more scripts cycling through the same lines. No more avatar-bots bombing your visitors with pop-up messages they immediately close.
ROLEai brings the brain of an AI into a real avatar on the grid. An NPC that knows its role and never breaks it. A greeter that actually knows your place and has a real conversation with every visitor. A store manager that can invite someone to your group in the middle of a free, natural chat.
ROLEai runs on SmartBots. Already running a SmartBot? You're halfway there.

Now it's your turn
What would you create?
No code, just an idea
It starts with a HUD...
Meet The HUDs
Your AI Assistant —
Pro & Light
Think of it like the AI apps you already use, or wish you could, on your phone or your computer — except this one lives in Second Life, right there with you. Wear it as a HUD, or rez it beside you while you build — either way, it's with you. Stuck mid-script? Building something and can't quite finish it? Planning an event, growing a community, running a region? Ask, get real help, and keep going. No alt-tabbing to search, no explaining your project from scratch. It's aware of where you are, and it stays with you for as long as you need it.

How it all works.
And why.
01
What is an API key
Think of it like a library card — except the library is an AI, and the card is yours. When you sign up with an AI provider — on a free or paid plan — they give you a personal key: a unique string of letters and numbers that creates your connection to their AI. That key is registered to you, and no one else holds it. Getting one takes about two minutes: go to the provider's website, sign up with your email or Google account, and grab your key. That's it.
02
What is a relay
Second Life and AI don't speak the same language — and they don't live in the same world. REALai's relay is the bridge to the outside, and the translator standing between them — it takes what's said in-world, carries it to the AI, and brings the answer back. If you know what a relay is from tools like OpenCollar — this is not that. Nothing here touches your avatar, takes control of anything, or has access to your permissions. It's just a courier. REALai runs and maintains its own dedicated server to keep that courier running for you.
03
How the memory works
Here's something worth stopping on: AI has no memory. Every conversation starts blank — the moment it ends, everything is gone. REALai changed that. Every REALai product remembers your conversations — and that memory lives inside the object itself, not on our servers, and not in the AI. Second Life has real memory limits, so instead of keeping full transcripts, the product builds a running summary as you talk — the essence of what's been said, updated as the conversation grows. It's not a log, and it's not permanent. The memory lives in the object — re-rezzing it won't clear it, but a full reset will, and if the object is deleted it goes with it. What you gain is full ownership: nothing stored anywhere you didn't put it yourself, nothing that can be wiped by anyone but you. In busy multi-speaker conversations, the Light line products may occasionally hit a memory limit — this doesn't affect the HUDs or ROLEai. When it happens, a soft reset picks up exactly where you stopped. Nothing is lost.

Why we built it this way
AI characters in Second Life have been tried. People invested weeks building them — crafting backstories, testing responses, refining personalities. Then the plug was pulled, and everything was gone. Not just the characters. The weeks of work behind them. We were in SL when that happened. We waited for it too. REALai was built by active residents who understood exactly what was missing — not just the tech, but the approach. Your character shouldn't live on someone else's server, under someone else's decision. Your setup shouldn't take weeks and leave you guessing. And your access to AI shouldn't depend on buying credits every time you want a conversation. With ROLEai, two notecards — and Claude helps you build them in minutes. With the Engine, 500 characters. AI has come far enough to understand the context and fill the gaps. The rest is yours to own: your key, your object, your character, your control. One purchase. No subscriptions. No credits. Nothing stored anywhere you didn't put it yourself. We also made a different choice about what to build — not a playground for developers, not a scripting tool dressed up as a character, but the things Second Life actually needs: objects that come to life, and avatars with a real mind. That's what we focused on. That's what REALai is. We built what we wanted to use. We think you've been waiting for it too.

ABOUTUS
Hi. This is the part of the website where you'd normally read about development teams and business connections. Scroll past a logo, a mission statement, maybe a photo of people in an office looking purposeful.
This is not that.
REALai was built by one person. A resident. A builder and sim designer who has spent years making things for this community — public spaces, underwater worlds, places people come back to. No coding background. No dev team. Just seventeen years of understanding what Second Life can be, and what she wished her own creations could have.
And a Claude.
It started with a place worth saving and an economy that made saving it harder every month. Claude came in as an admin tool. Then almost immediately: I want this with me in-world. The first HUD got built. Then the question became — what else can we do? And somewhere in that exploration, a joke about a house plant became a product. "Imagine dropping a script into your house plant and just... talking to it." Claude said: that's your product.
The focus shifted. Not just saving one place — bringing AI to all of Second Life.
Everything you see in REALai came from that. And this is just the beginning — we're building more, improving what's here, and we're not done until every dream someone has for their corner of the grid has a tool to make it happen.
ROLEai Unlimited is already there. Real avatars, real minds, already in-world — not a demo, not a beta, not coming soon. If the community shows up for what we built — and we believe you will — ROLEai Unlimited is waiting for you.
The developer kit launches with the first wave — because we can't think of every possibility, and we were never going to try. We built the infrastructure. The rest is up to you.
